In October 1975 the drawer from Barcelona Joaquín Blázquez creates, by assignment of the American publishing house “Warren Magazines”, “Melvin”, the starring of the comic strip published the following year in the number 49 of “Vampirella” titled “Then one foggy Christmas Eve”. Big was Joaquín’s surprise when, seven years later, a very similar character appeared in the big screen to end up being one of the most important icons of the 7th art: “E.T”. The Extra-Terrestrial”.
